This policy explains how ads are displayed, how advertiser content is handled, and what responsibilities merchants and advertisers have when participating in the TapSnap Ad Network.
By using TapSnap’s Services or enabling ads on your TapSnap Hub, you agree to this Ad Network Policy.
1. Overview of the TapSnap Ad Network
TapSnap provides a closed, first-party advertising network that displays promotional content across participating TapSnap Hubs. Ads may appear on:
- Free-tier TapSnap Hubs
- Merchant dashboards that enable ad placement
- Content creator hubs
- TapSnap-owned promotional placements
Ads shown within the TapSnap ecosystem promote:
- Local businesses
- Merchant offers
- Content creators
- TapSnap products and services
- Approved third-party advertisers
The TapSnap Ad Network does not use third-party tracking cookies or retargeting technologies.
2. How Ads Are Displayed
Ads may appear in designated areas of participating Hubs, including:
- Top banner
- Featured tile
- Promo sections
- Inline engagement areas
- Scrolling promotional carousel
Ad placement varies by:
- Subscription tier
- Merchant opt-in status
- Available inventory
- TapSnap system rotation
Paid tiers may reduce or remove ads, while the free tier will include standard ad placements.
3. Enabling Ads (Merchant Opt-In)
Merchants on eligible paid tiers may opt to:
- Enable ads on their Hub to earn exposure
- Run promotional campaigns
- Appear in other local TapSnap Hubs (cross-exposure)
Merchants control:
- Whether ads appear on their Hub
- The content they upload for their own ads
- Whether they join cross-exposure networks
4. Ad Content Requirements
Advertisers and merchants are responsible for ensuring that any ad content they provide:
- Is accurate
- Complies with local and federal laws
- Does not infringe on any copyrights or trademarks
- Does not contain misleading or deceptive claims
- Does not include prohibited content such as hate speech, adult content, or illegal products
TapSnap may remove or reject any ad at its sole discretion.
5. Prohibited Advertising Content
The following content is not permitted in TapSnap ads:
- Illegal products or services
- Drug-related content (unless legally licensed and compliant)
- Adult entertainment
- Hate speech or discriminatory content
- Violence, weapons, or unsafe behavior
- False, misleading, or deceptive marketing
- Unauthorized use of logos or trademarks
- Malware, scams, or harmful links
TapSnap reserves the right to disable any advertiser or campaign.
6. Ad Performance & Targeting
TapSnap uses non-identifiable, aggregated metrics to determine:
- Impressions (views)
- Clicks or interactions
- General geographic relevance (e.g., city or region)
- Category-based relevance
TapSnap does not use:
- Personal data
- Cross-site tracking
- Browser cookies
- Behavioral fingerprinting
All ad relevance is based on internal TapSnap categories and general location settings.
7. Merchant Earnings From Ads (Optional)
If a merchant enables ads on their Hub:
- They may receive exposure in other participating Hubs
- They may receive promotional placement through the TapSnap rotation
- They may receive visibility based on tier level or participation
- They may be eligible for ad revenue share (if offered in their region)
Ad earnings are not guaranteed unless explicitly stated in the merchant’s plan details.
8. Advertiser Responsibilities
Advertisers are fully responsible for:
- Their ad content
- Claims made in advertisements
- Accuracy of promotional offers
- Website or landing page behavior
- Regulatory compliance
TapSnap does not verify advertiser claims and is not responsible for the accuracy or performance of ads.
9. TapSnap Rights & Limitations
TapSnap reserves the right to:
- Remove, suspend, or reject ads at any time
- Adjust ad placement inventory
- Modify the ad system
- Update ad formats or rules
- Limit access to certain categories or industries
TapSnap is not liable for:
- Ad performance
- Conversion success
- Business outcomes
- Losses due to ad placement or campaign failure
All ad services are provided “as-is” and “as-available.”
10. No Liability for Advertiser or Merchant Content
TapSnap is not responsible for:
- Merchant-uploaded promotional content
- Third-party websites
- Offers, discounts, or promotions displayed in ads
- Any damages or losses resulting from clicking on an ad
Users interact with ads at their own discretion and risk.
11. Changes to This Policy
TapSnap may update this Ad Network Policy at any time.
Updates will be posted at:
tapsnap.ai/ad-policy
Continued use of TapSnap after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
